Old Tehran

Posted by Mah-Gol (Paris, Iran) on 20 May 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Tehran from the residents' point of view in the year 2084.
Homage to George Orwell and his novel "1984".

It's in the same time an attractive (by composition and graphism) but pessimistic shot (by the way you deal with subject, B&W...). I hope our futur will be better.... But a good work !!

This work of George Orwell is my favorite. I also have also read Animal Farm several times. Don't be surprised by the power within modern democracies to use language to twist thought or bend it in favor of certain policies that benefit a few.

Great illustration, too.
